Care

Load and rehab

Exercises and loads your doctor picks from your week, practiced here and written down for home.

The aim is to find a load you can handle today and add to it in steps. Your doctor watches you do each movement.

Who it is for

  • Runners and lifters returning to training

  • People who stopped because something hurt

  • Anyone who wants a plan they can follow alone

What a visit includes

  1. Where to start

A movement and a load you can handle today.

  2. Practice with your doctor watching

Each exercise, done here first, so you know what it should feel like.

  3. A written list for home

What to do, how often and when to add load.

Good to know

  • How long and how often

A rehab visit is about 30 minutes, often shorter. Your doctor rechecks and changes the load as you go. We don't set a number of visits.

  • What we do not claim

We don't claim an exercise plan prevents injury or protects against another one, and we don't promise a date to return to running or lifting.

  • When to see a physician first

Chest pain, dizziness or fainting during exercise needs urgent medical care, not a visit here. See a physician first for pain that wakes you at night or comes with a fever. Your doctor tells you if a visit should wait.

  • How it is paid

Insurance pays for some visits and not others, and you may pay yourself. You can ask for a written estimate before you come.

Questions about load and rehab

Do I need equipment at home?

Usually a resistance band or weights you already own. Your doctor works with what you have.

Will you tell me when to run or lift again?

Your doctor talks through the steps and where you are in them. Timing is a conversation, not a promise.

Can you work with my coach or physical therapist?

With your permission, yes. We can share notes.

Start with the exam

Your doctor explains what was found and what is suggested before anything starts.

  • A sudden severe headache or neck pain, dizziness, trouble speaking or seeing, new weakness or numbness, numbness in the groin or saddle area (between the legs and buttocks), or new bladder or bowel trouble needs emergency care now. Call 911 or go to an emergency room.
