Questions, answered
What people ask before a first visit.
What happens at the first visit?
The first visit takes about 45 minutes. You talk with your doctor about your training week and what changed, then you are checked and watched as you move. Your doctor explains what was found, what is suggested, the risks and the cost, and you decide what happens that day.
What are the risks of an adjustment?
Some people feel sore for a day or two. Serious problems are rare. Your doctor explains the risks before any hands-on care, answers your questions and will tell you when to see a physician first. You can stop at any point.
Will it hurt?
Most people feel pressure or a stretch, not sharp pain. Some feel sore afterward, like after a hard workout. Tell your doctor if anything is uncomfortable and it changes or stops.
How many visits will I need?
Your doctor sets a plan after the exam and rechecks along the way. We don't set a number of visits in advance, and we don't promise a result. Plans change as you do.
Do you take my insurance?
We bill some plans and not others. Call with your plan's name and we tell you before your first visit. A plan may not pay for every visit. How fees work explains the rest.
What if I don't use insurance?
You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. Ask us, and we give you a written estimate in advance. You can also ask for an itemized receipt after a visit.
Do I need x-rays?
Most visits don't use them. Your doctor orders an x-ray only when it is medically necessary and explains why first.
Do you see teenagers or pregnant patients?
Our visits are built for adults who train. If you are pregnant, ask your OB or midwife first, then call us. If your teenager plays a sport, call before booking so a doctor can say what a visit would and would not include.
What if I have seen another provider?
Bring what they gave you: a physical therapist's plan, a physician's note, an imaging report. We work alongside them and, with your permission, share notes. If something is outside what a chiropractor does, we say so and refer you.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please tell us as early as you can if you need to move a visit, so the time can go to someone else. Ask the front desk about the policy before your first visit.
